Yakima Town Hall - Happiness researcher to wind up Yakima Town Hall series

Shawn Achor, a Harvard University professor known for his research on happiness, is the final presenter for the 2010-2011 Yakima Town Hall Speaker Series.
The event will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Capitol Theatre, 19 S. Third St. Tickets are sold only as a series package for $75.
Achor has spoken to everyone from Wall Street analysts and Harvard students to business leaders and expecting parents on the advances made in positive psychology research. At Harvard, he delivered lectures on positive psychology in a class attended by one in seven undergraduates. His research and lectures on happiness and human potential have received attention in The New York Times, The Boston Globe and The Wall Street Journal, in addition to NPR and CNN Radio.
His new book on the science of success was released late last year. Achor continues to conduct original psychology research on human potential, happiness and organizational achievement.
