YAKIMA, WA, January 31, 2022 – Yakima Town Hall is proud and honored to announce its 50th Anniversary season series, featuring a world-renowned group of four incredible speakers.

Headlining the series on September 21 is Maria Shriver, a trailblazing Peabody, and Emmy Award-winning journalist and producer, who serves as an inspiration for others to become “Architects of Change.” Following speakers include Dr. Moogega Cooper, the planetary protection lead of the famed NASA 2020 Mars mission; Amanda Knox, an exoneree, journalist, and author of the New York Times best-selling memoir, Waiting to Be Heard, who spent nearly four years in an Italian prison and eight years on trial for a murder she didn’t commit; and Jon Meacham, presidential historian and Pulitzer Prize-winning author who brings historical context to the issues and events impacting our daily lives.

“50 years ago, our founders had the vision to bring world-class, cross-cultural, and thought-provoking speakers to Yakima, and we are so proud to honor their mission with this blockbuster season,” said Robin Salts-Beckett, President of Yakima Town Hall. “We are so grateful to the Yakima community who has whole-heartedly supported our mission of ‘Give us an hour, we’ll bring you the world.’ Together with our generous sponsors and the ticket holders who support us each year, we are committed to securing the future of Yakima Town Hall for another 50 years – and more – to come.”
