YAKIMA, Wash. - Author Shawn Achor ended the 2010-11 season of Yakima Town Hall spreading his message about positive thinking and how it can improve your life, as covered in his book, "The Happiness Advantage."
"You can't snap your fingers and you'll be happy," said Achor before his session inside The Capitol Theatre.
The Harvard University professor and consulting firm CEO has researched the topic for years. His work has shown more productivity and success in people with more positive moments in their life.
"Happiness to me is a work ethic," he said. "You have to work towards it like you exercise your body."
Achor wraps up another season of Town Hall as tickets and the new list of speakers are released for the 2011-2012 season.
Chimpanzee expert Jane Goodall will kick off the next set of sessions that will also include Dr. Michio Kaku, physicist from City University of New York.

"I loved venturing out to the "real Washington". Your Capitol Theatre is stunning. Your Town Hall group is very professional and warm. Your audience top notch. I felt so comfortable in Yakima it was like spending an evening with old friends." - Susan Stamberg, Renowned NPR Broadcaster
